Welcome

Hey! I'm Sergio Zavala, a first-generation Latino college student studying Computer Science with a concentration in Data Science at CSU Monterey Bay. I'm seeking Machine Learning Research Intern roles in preparation for Fall 2026 graduate study. My research interests include AI for Science, Scientific Machine Learning, Computational Physics, Computer Vision, Computatinal Modeling, and NLP. As an NIH NHGRI GREAT Scholar and NSF ExLENT CTCtoAI Student Fellow, I'm exploring how deep learning can advance sciences. Outside of tech, I enjoy cinematography, hiking, powerlifting, running, and guitar.
